Susan is a broom
Jake moves his nimble, fragile body with great speed
Susan sweeps.
Jake lives on scraps and anything resembling food
Susan does not eat. She is a broom. Brooms don't eat.
Jake has small beady eyes, and soft white mangy fur.
Susan is composed of Straw, twine and wood.
Jake is a pest. They don't like him.
Susan is useful for piling dust. They know Susan fulfills her purpose with grace and durability.
Jake lives.
Susan is a broom. Brooms aren't alive.
